How often have you heard the saying “God is love”?  Did you know that by far the main attribute of God is not His love, but actually His Holiness?  Does He love you?  Absolutely!  Will He send you to hell anyway? His word says clearly that He will!

There is a day coming upon this earth the likes of which has never been experienced in the history of mankind.  Looking at the news alone shows the depths of evil that have overtaken this world, but we haven’t seen anything yet. Right now God is giving this world over to its own devices, and it is self-destructing in its own decay, but we have not even begun to see God’s wrath.  God is holding back that wrath for one reason only.  That YOU might be saved.  The Bible tells us that we should flee the wrath to come.   But instead mankind as a whole seems to be grabbing onto the evil with both hands, in utter disregard of His warnings.

Take the one sin of abortion alone.  We live in a nation that has shed the blood of millions of innocent babies, and we aren’t the only nation guilty of that sin.   Abortion clinics  and hospitals drain that blood  down the sink drains.  It is in the sewers, in the water table, in the ground, in the irrigation systems.  Do you realize what that means?  The ground from which the crops we eat, drew their nourishment?  The water that we drink? The blood of innocents cries out from the ground for justice.  Do you think a Holy God is going to turn a blind eye to such wickedness?

Listen, going to church doesn’t save you.  Baptism doesn’t save you.  Doing good things doesn’t save you.  If you have cobbled together a “God” in your mind who is only loving and wouldn’t send anyone to hell, I am here to tell you that you are believing in a figment of your own imagination.  The only way to salvation is through the substitutionary death of Jesus, who was wounded for our transgressions, died taking our punishment, paying off the sin debt, and rose again in victory over death.  While we were yet sinners, He died for us.  He bore our sin on the cross, the just suffering for the unjust.  The only way to be saved is to accept that Jesus died in your place.  Are you without sin?  Cry out to Him while you still can.

Hell is real and God is angry with the wicked every day.  You can hold onto your “right” to dictate your own morality.  He will let you.  But a judgment day is coming and you will stand in His court without a lawyer, without an advocate.  Do you really think you are going to win that case?  Why not settle with Him “out of court” today instead.
