Pink Dogwood petals drift lazily to the ground in a shower like confetti in a grand finale of spring!
It seems mournful somehow. Spring is so brief here in Virginia, but this year the seasons seem to be in more of a hurry than usual. Before we know it, the school year will end and the blaze of summer will be in full swing. Today I hug my kids and tell them that I love them, and determine consciously to count and savor every single one of my blessings. Life can seem so surreal some days. What an amazing thing it is, to be carried in the palm of the Lord’s hand, resting in Him, not striving or struggling, simply trusting. Surrender. An opening of the hands.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations and His glory above all the heavens. Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high.
Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, because His mercy endureth forever. Let them now that fear the Lord say, that HIs mercy endureth forever. I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear what can man do to me.
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. Oh Lord, deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live and keep thy Word. Open thou mine eyes that I may behold wonderous things out of thy law.
