Mayor Puts City On Lockdown

Due to an uptick in violent crime in East St. Louis, Ill., Mayor Alvin Parks has decided that Constitutionality be damned, it is time to put the city on lockdown.

“There is something going on in the community at this point that we’ve got to safeguard them and keep them off the streets,” Parks said. “There are people shooting at each other for no reason whatsoever.”

According to KMOX, a number of new rules will be implemented in the metropolis in order to keep people — mainly teenagers — from engaging in violent acts.

Here are some of the new rules cited by the news station:

• Minors are to be off the streets at 10 p.m. on both weeknights and weekend nights.
• Minors on the street during school hours will be arrested on sight.
• Police will also perform ID checks on street corners and conduct gun searches, and Parks says he won’t hesitate to call in the National Guard if the spike in violence continues.

Also, simply standing around in certain areas of the city will warrant an immediate arrest without question, according to the report.

There is also a new dress code in the city.

“No royal blue, no bright red to be worn by our men or our boys in this community,” Parks said. “Why is that? Those colors have long been affiliated with gang kinds of affiliations”

And vehicles can be pulled over at random for… moving.

“Vehicles that are moving will be stopped and searched for guns, weapons, drugs, and open alcohol and any other violations that are taking place,” Parks told KMOX. “People who are walking, people who are bicycling, can be stopped and searched for the same and, when it comes to state IDs, we’re going to be confirming that state IDs are in place for everyone involved.”

Parks justified police state measures in his city saying: “We have desperate times, they call for desperate measures and they call for extreme measures, things that we may not have done before, to get the desired results. You cannot grow as a city if your children are being wiped out and never given an opportunity to live.”

Alarmingly, situations like that under way in East St. Louis are not at all uncommon throughout the United States as local officials increasingly intoxicated by bureaucratic power take it upon themselves to rob liberty for perceived safety.

U.S Marine Corps F/A-18A Hornet jets deploying to the Middle East  –  The Aviationist

On Sept. 24, 12 U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18A Hornet jets arrived to Morón airbase, in Spain, coming from Lajes, Azores.

Belonging to the VMFA-314 Black Knights, from MCAS Miramar, California, the aircraft arrived in two waves as “Trend 61-66″ and “Trend 71-76″.  Although someone speculated they were deploying to Afghanistan, where the U.S. has recently suffered a deadly attack at Camp Bastion’s airfield, where six Harriers were destroyed and two severely damaged, the VMFA-314 Hornets were enroute to an undisclosed location in the Middle East.  Click on the Headline to read more on this very interesting blog.  The author keeps up with the various deployments from the US.

   The Radical Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated our government:

   Do you remember the day in 2009 when Air Force One flew low over the Manhatten skyline and scared people about a possible repreat terror attack?  Recall that the White House official statement for this asinine stunt was that it was a “photo op”?

   My opinion on that stunt was that it was pretty much a ceremonial celebration of the fact that radical Islam which had flown planes into the twin towers, now had infiltrated/attained the highest office of the land via the Obama presidential win in the White House.   It superimposed the imagery of 9/11 with the symbolism of the “supreme” power of the US presidency.  I could never shake that image from my mind and never bought the “photo-op” story.  It is sad that we are living in a day when we can’t take anything at face value anymore, and must always look behind the scenes and below the surface.
