Dead Bankers: Suicides, Silenced Whisleblowers, or just a normal month or two in the banking world?

Yesterday I saw several articles and posts about “another banker death”.  All of the stories I saw could be traced back to InfoWars.com/PrisonPlanet.com and this most recent death (Thursday) was not listed as a suicide, and yet most of the articles did not hesitate to speculate that it was.  I did not want to perpetuate that “news” based on the speculation alone, as I don’t place a whole lot of faith in the credibility of InfoWars/Prison Planet and others like them that claim to have all these inside sources which are kept secret.  Alex Jones screeching like a howler-monkey, with his eyes bugging out, in a foaming tirade against the forces of government in general, just doesn’t say “credible”.  It doesn’t even say “stable”. Steve Quale is about the same. No one can seem to figure out what the actual tally is at this point.  The numbers and time-span are different, depending on which story you read.  Some stories say four in a month, other say six.   Lets start with the most recent (and hope another doesn’t pop up somewhere before I finish writing the post).  These deaths are all reported by reputable and multiple news agencies, it’s the “suicide angle” and that they are all somehow related and point to impending global financial doom that doesn’t seem quite rooted in any verifiable facts thus far.

Latest: Ryan Henry Crane, 37, JP Morgan New York Executive Director Global Program Trading

Richard Talley,57, CEO American Title

Mike Dueker, 50, Chief Economist at Russel Investments (formerly of Federal Reserve)

Gabriel Magee, 39, Sr. Manager, JP Morgan London

William Broeksmit, 56, former Senior Manager at Deutsche Bank

That’s only five.  Why are people trying to make this seem bigger than it is?

I found this one on the obscure Chosun.com, shall we count that as well?

Banker Jumps to Death Amid Probe

Police say the head of a major savings bank jumped to his death Friday in an apparent suicide, amid an investigation into investment and lending irregularities.
Authorities say Chung Gu-haeng jumped from the sixth floor of Seoul’s Jeil 2 Savings Bank, following a raid by prosecutors investigating irregularities at seven savings banks.
Financial regulators suspended the seven banks Sunday for six months because of their poor financial condition.

There is also David Bird, an Oil Commodities Markets reporter who went missing January 11th.  This Oil Commodities market is currently under investigation by the U.S. Senate.  Maybe they are counting him as one of the banking-related deaths.

I also found a story about a banker from South Georgia who disappeared in June of 2012, had faked his own death, and been declared legally dead by a judge, who was found alive and taken into custody last month.  I bet if I keep digging I could find several more in the same timeframe.

It is not news to anyone that the banking and investment industry is fraught with temptation and corruption. It is not even news that investigations are accompanied by death, since the love of money is the root of all evil and we are talking about enormous sums at that particular level of banking and investment.

I am just not convinced on this particular conspiracy theory.  Despite the fact that many of these executives worked in operations that were “under investigation” it seems that even investigations are corrupt these days, and the outcome based on who has the most political clout at the time.  In fact the initiation of the investigation is often political to begin with.

It is a tangled web that only God, Himself, will untangle.  The deaths are tragic as any death, loved ones left behind, fatherless children, and all of it.  It makes me glad I’m not a banker or stock broker or in any position to be tempted by the handling of such enormous sums of money.

Is there a pattern?  Of course, but it’s a pattern almost as old as Creation itself.  Adam and Eve, the garden, the serpent.  Temptation, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

The longer that I continue to publish posts on this site, the more selective I am about what I share, because there is a line of demarcation between those who will be here when the real trouble comes upon this Earth, and those who won’t.  Deception and distraction are employed by Satan as a means of stealing the peace and joy of believers, and to keep the rest stirred up and troubled and busy trying in their own power, to be ready to weather whatever “major something” which everyone knows in their bones, is coming down the pike.

I’m telling you now, seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and none of that other stuff will have any power over you.  Whether you are a Christian who comes here to hear the latest news, or a non-believer who just stumbled onto this article, Jesus Christ is the only answer to this world’s problems.  Seek Him while there is still time.

Truth doesn’t need to be defended.  It just needs to be proclaimed.
