I voted for George “Dubya” Bush. I can relate to some of those folks who voted for Obama, in their bitter disappointment. There are all sorts of people who voted for Obama, and for their own reasons. Some voted for him because they wanted to be a part of something historical. The first black president. I would have loved to have been able to vote for that as well, had I been able to do so in good conscience. A black man in the White House, I have no problem with, it indeed should have been a milestone to be celebrated. But, alas, Marxist in the White House, I have a BIG problem with that! Pro-abortion, anti-America, Pro-lawlessness, anti-Christian. Ach, it’s old news, I realize. But then, it’s not. Because the travesty is ongoing.
When the Twin Towers were falling, I had a three-year old at home, and a five year old in kindergarten. The first election I was old enough to vote in, was the one that saw Ronald Reagan win his second term in office. When George W. Bush stood up there among the rubble and made his speech, it seemed like the closest thing to a Ronald Reagan moment that we’d had since the eighties. You have to understand, I was depressed the whole time Clinton was in office. Seriously! Worried about my country. You think young people don’t pay attention? Maybe a lot of them don’t, but I can tell you that I was a twenty-something that paid attention, and most of my friends certainly did too.
Well, those were early days. I voted for GW the first time, and did so again, the second term, but it wasn’t that far into his second term that I had begun to see that what is portrayed as “Left vs Right” on television, in interviews of various political figures, the polarity, was not a real representation of “average folk” on the ground. The “right-left paradigm” began to fall apart for a lot of people I think, in Bush’s second term, and I think that may have helped some in propelling an Obama victory. Well, that and the vote tampering and the dead folks on the registers and the “misplacing” of military ballots, etc.
But that happened with Bush too. Who will ever forget the hanging chad? I don’t think we can know for sure what the “real” vote was on much of anything anymore. We have been conditioned to believe everything is relative anyway. Once you toss out absolutes as a general principle, there’s no landmarks, nothing to go by. Everyone agrees there is “right and wrong” but no one can pin it down. I think that the political establishment has overplayed it’s hand. It’s Obama, yeah, but he’s just the guy out front. Behind him is a whole slew of forces. Some human, some not. Yeah, you read that right. But George Bush is among them. Probably even Reagan. You know, I would love it if life in this world really was like the old Coke commercial.
I’d like to build a world a home
and furnish it with love.
Grow apple trees and honey bees
and snow white turtle doves.
I’d like to teach the world to sing
in perfect harmony.
I’d like to hold it in my arms,
and keep it company
I’d like to see the world for once
all standing hand in hand.
And hear them echo through the hills
for peace throughout the land.
It’s the real thing
what the world wants today,
That’s the way it’ll stay
with the real thing.
I’d like to teach the world to sing
in perfect harmony.
A song of peace that echoes on
and never goes away.
Put your hand in my hand
let’s begin today,
With your hand in my hand
help me find a way.
I’d like to see the world for once
all standing hand in hand.
And hear them echo through the hills
for peace throughout the land.
I’d like to teach the world to sing,
in perfect harmony.
A song of peace that echos on,
and never goes away.
But the reality is something different. People have cried for peace for a very long time. But have no real grasp of what is required to have it. No idea how to achieve it. No power to bring it about.
But we are pretty good at starting wars. Jesus said He came not to bring peace into the world, but a sword. In Revelation, when the Red Horse rides, whatever remnant of peace that this world has left, will be taken away.
This wave of “illegals” filling up the U.S., getting their EBT’s and being bussed to the local WalMart to spend it, being housed and given medical care, this is no small thing. It is a much bigger thing than most people know. Dig a little. You’ll soon find out what I mean. It’s not just kids. It’s not even “just” gang members and other criminals we have to worry about. This is a small piece of a much broader operation. See HERE.
I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck. I used to think they were “on the side of the people” but now I think they are both shills. Of course, the left has been screaming that for a long time, only problem is, they don’t realize their own cheerleaders are also shills. It’s all a façade. A shell game to keep you just off-kilter enough to lose track of the little ball.
It would be pretty bleak if not for one thing. The Lord has a plan, and none of the things men do can or will thwart that. One day there will be peace, when Jesus rules as King. No crime, no rebellion, no violation of the law will be tolerated. Revelation 2:27 says He will rule with a “rod of iron”.
