American detained at border over stance on homosexuality

I was just commenting to my husband yesterday, that I remember only about four years ago reading of the first cases of the censorship of pastors sermons labeled hate speech in Canada, and other early signs of growing anti-Christian sentiment.  America is now at the same place Canada was four years ago, but it will not take us four years to catch up to where Canada is now.  As a matter of fact, due to the corruption at every level in government, I think we could easily catch up and surpass Canada in this political-correctness-gone-wild direction.  The story I just posted, about the court re-hearing a case on religious discrimination, does at least show that not everyone is going to just roll over and take it lying down.  As I have been saying for a while, we who are Christians have to prepare ourselves for an increasingly inevitable future day when we ourselves may be put on the spot to either deny Christ and our Christian beliefs, or face significant consequences of fines, court, and jail time.  Are you ready for that?  How does one prepare?  I think that has all to do with prayer without ceasing, living circumspect, examining oneself, confessing sins, choosing to follow Christ in the small things, as much as the big ones, and hiding God’s word in our hearts, “that we might not sin against Him”.  When they take us before the judges, we are instructed by the Lord not to worry about what we will say.  He will give us the words.  I thank God for the lawyers who are in the fight.  I thank Him for those faithful in prayer.  I feel sure, as I’m sure many of you do, that once this election is over next week, Obama will pull out all the stops like Sampson in his final stand, to bring about as much destruction to this nation as humanly possible in those last 2 years.  Literally, anything might happen. But God is still in complete command of the situation, and there is great potential in the ensuing chaos, for Christians to be ready with answers for the unsaved, when they face the unraveling of all order around them.  Our prayer should follow the example (Ephesians 6) of the Apostle Paul who said: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. — S.T.
