Living from Faith to Faith

Well, Russia is really making Obama look the fool, no?  I mean, taking out ISIS targets left and right.  One could almost conclude that American forces that are there, have been kept on a pretty tight leash.  I am sickened for the sake of the men and women who joined our military with the intention of putting down evil, only to have a Commander in Chief who is rooting and carrying the water, for the enemy.  That Vladimir Putin is the one to go in and clean up the mess, is just plain humiliating.  I think it was Allen West who made a statement recently, something to the effect that he could not recommend anyone go into the U.S. military now.  Well, here’s the thing.  It’s kind of like the argument whether Christians should allow their kids in public schools. The more Christians pull out of these institutions, the more they are left to the unbelievers to do things their way.  Now, there’s no doubt that the public schools are probably beyond redemption now, especially with the implementation of the UN agenda 2030. As far as the military, as an American and a Christian who is doing her best to keep up with all that is changing in our world and our nation, I definitely hope that all of the good men and women don’t stop going into our military, and leave it to the devices of the America-haters, the homosexual agenda. and the globalists.  And I don’t just say that because my own son is in the military.  We can’t just capitulate on these things.  I think that is the whole meaning of “occupy until I come”.

But for sure, it is getting a lot more dangerous to stand for what is right.  News from Nepal has it that Christian missionaries are being told to leave, and their new Constitution bans any effort to convert from Hinduism to any other religion.  The church bombings and Bible-burnings have been coming to us here and there over recent weeks, but now it is a “convert or die” situation just like with Islam.  The college shooting last week is just the beginning of the same conditions here, and the woman  in New Jersey shouting “soon we will be the majority” at the school board meeting where they voted not to shut down the schools for Muslim Holidays.

Just because it looks like that’s where we are headed, doesn’t mean God is going to let things keep going in this world on the current trajectory long enough to get there.  He can step in anytime now, and all the best-laid plans and aspirations of men will come to a screeching halt.

I think a lot of people are disappointed after so much hype surrounding September and the blood moons and Sabbaths, that some obvious, decisive, and all-changing event didn’t take place, but that should not be the case.  The bottom line is that we are clearly on an irreversible trajectory toward the coming of the Lord for His bride, and the tribulation.  The only question that remains is how much longer.

Well, if you have been through hardship in life, and most of us have, you come to understand that trials often go on longer than we think we will be able to bear them, but yet we do make it through to the other side of those storms.  Usually about the time you have finally lost the will to object or resist, and just admitted your own inability to go any further in your own strength, that is when you get to that “zone” of being carried along on a tide that you do not control, and accept the fact that it’s not up to you.  You find it’s a pretty sweet place, actually.

It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to try and arm-wrestle God.  You just keep going as long as He sees fit and cling to the knowledge that He has promised never to leave or forsake you.

Daymond Duck posted an article on Rapture Ready in which he tells about a reader e-mail, the sender of which points out that if the “generation that sees these things come to pass” (Duck refers to them as the terminal generation) were the ones who witnessed not when Israel became a nation again, but when Jerusalem was re-captured by Israel in 1967, that if the world Government is in place by 2030 as the UN has just implemented, it would come out about right, for adding 7 years of the Tribulation to 2030 would give you that 70 years.

No one wants to hear that, I realize, except the people who don’t read these kinds of blogs and articles anyway because they have not lost their live for this world yet.  No one who is weary of this world and ready to go be with the Lord, wants to anticipate that much longer of a delay in His coming.  But then Duck adds that there are students of prophecy that believe there is a gap of unknown time (or at least room for one) between the Catching Away of the Bride, and the signing of that covenant which will kick off the tribulation.

A couple of people have expressed that they are starting to doubt if the Lord is coming just yet.  All I have to say, is that only increases the likelihood that He is coming sooner rather than later.  The fewer people who are expecting Him, the more true to the conditions which the Bible predicts will be in place at that moment..

Doubters and mockers should not get us down.  They are a sign in and of themselves.

So if you are feeling that let-down from September, don’t waste your energy.  Just stay the course.  This is a long-distance marathon, not a sprint.  Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keep believing in the unchanging God  who planned it all to begin with.

You know, I am a person who likes a lot of reaffirmation from the people I love.  I want to hear or see in some way, that I’m still loved, still accepted.  It’s insecure of me, sure.  But we all tend to second-guess things from time to time.  Probably because we aren’t great at the unconditional love and acceptance ourselves.  But God isn’t like that.  He does not waver.

We can so easily make our way through life sort of the way we climb up a steep hill, grabbing onto the next thing we come upon that seems sturdy enough to help us make it up a little higher on the never-ending climb.  Spiritually we want to go up high enough that we can see things from a place just a little nearer to the perspective God sees from.  But even if we could get that far up, our poor old earth-bound eyes just are not equipped to see very far out over the panorama of the Earthly existence.  Just trust Him.

Faith is the only thing we have the option to employ in some situations.  Faith does not come by prayer.  Faith comes by hearing the Word.  Living “from faith to faith” means that you start out with your foundation of saving faith, and your experiences through trials and your knowledge through study of the Word, brings you to greater faith.  Before you know it, faith is an old reliable vessel and you’re floating along in it.

I don’t really care that the world powers of our day are shooting for a 2030 deadline for implementing their agenda for a global government.  They are not the ones calling the shots. now are they?

Living by faith means not having to have all the answers, and not necessarily knowing the itinerary down to the minute.  I spent some time, while waiting for various pastors to post their prophecy updates yesterday, just clicking around on YouTube.  You would think that a certain contingent of professing Christians is so invested in figuring out the particulars of the tribulation period, that they would surely be disappointed if God did snatch them out of here and they didn’t get to witness it and find out whose scenario came closest to the actual events as they do eventually play out.  Speculation about aliens, giants, what the “strong delusion” will consist of.

Look! That’s like wanting to know every disgusting detail of horrific crimes or what it is really like inside the day -to-day workings of the worst prisons.  Why do people desire to know those things?  I think that a steady diet of horror movies and avatars and zombies and “superpowers” has led to this appetite for things dark and dangerous.

Life itself has enough sadness, loss, and death and suffering.  Why seek out more?

There are a lot of people calling themselves Christians out there, who are tangling with the dark side, and others who have created this false paradigm that “overcoming” the darkness that engulfs this world is our assigned duty as Christians.  Not so!  This world is passing away.  We have darkness within ourselves. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. We don’t overcome or defeat the darkness IN this world, we can only overcome the darkness in ourselves which bonds us with this world, and we can only do that by faith.  The darkness and injustice and evil  have been defeated by Christ. He just has not stepped in to put a final end to the reign of Satan in this world just yet. There are things yet to play out.

This dark matter that everyone is concerned about that CERN is supposedly bringing into our world?  Dark matter and even black holes, are theoretical constructs for things that scientists, who deny creation, have come up with to explain things which they do not understand.  In other words, they reject certain facts and consequently must supply alternate theories to fill the void they created.  I think that’s what they call a straw-man.

So, even if the concept of whatever speculation is going around on a given day on the internet is interesting, it might well be a whole bunch of hooey and vain imagination.

The more convoluted and complex things get in this world, the frankly easier it gets for me to say, “you know what? I’m just going to trust God”.

Knowledge is one of the biggest idols there is in this world, I do believe.  I mean, entire college degrees for “expertise” in Literature.  What is literature other than the thoughts of men?  What is philosophy and psychiatry other than the thoughts of other mere mortals.  What good is that?

I’m not saying be stupid and proud of it.  I’m saying,  we are way too enamored with and impressed by, what we can think up.

Talk about re-inventing the wheel?  I’m going to go to heaven some day, and I’m going to meet Jesus face to face.  If I want to know whether dark matter is a thing or not, I will ask Him when I get there.

If I want to know if giants came from angels mating with human women, and if they are going to be roaming around down here during the tribulation, I suspect I could ask Him that too, but why would I?  If it is going to be a phenomenon in the Tribulation, it has nothing to do with those who are not appointed to wrath.

Obedience is meant to be a hedge from ever having to encounter such evil. Obedience and separation from the world do minimize the likelihood of having personal encounters with evil, but there is unfortunately such a propensity for many to so embrace evil that it is getting harder and harder to avoid it. It saturates our culture, television, music, and sadly even churches.

Faith in your church won’t keep you in peace. Faith in your job is a pretty foolish investment for anyone to count on at this point.  Faith in your savings, IRA, even your own ability to work, is simply not guaranteed.

Without faith is impossible to please God.  It is also impossible without faith, to have peace.

Do you have periods when you go to the Word and you just don’t “feel” like it is getting in, no matter how much you read? Why is that? Who is our teacher? The Holy Spirit is our teacher.  Have you grieved and offended the Spirit?  Let me tell you, if we who are sinful can hardly stand it in this world, imagine how the Holy Spirit feels here?  Is your mind kept free of the junk and pollution of this world, so that your inner “environment” is somewhere the Spirit wants to work?  I am really beginning to think that is why we don’t see the Holy Spirit at work much these days.  Jesus was in His own home town, but didn’t do miracles there.  Why?  Unbelief.  Was His power and ability to do miracles in any way limited by the doubt?  No!  Of course it wasn’t, but it would have been pearls cast before swine.  We want what we want, but we have this notion we can feast upon the junk of this world until such time as God delivers the goods.  That ain’t how it works.  We can’t prepare the world and make it suitable for Jesus, and we can’t clean up ourselves so Jesus can come in.  He does that when He gets in there, but we can certainly have an environment in ourselves that is not fit for the work of the Holy Spirit to be performed in.

If you show up at work or school and don’t set aside thoughts of everything else, and focus on your work, how effective are you going to be in your performance in that job, or in your comprehension of what is being taught that day?

We live in a day in time when our consciousness and our attention is always divided.  If God is a jealous God, does it not follow that the Holy Spirit is a jealous Holy Spirit, not willing to share your divided attention with every stray thought and distraction?

The Lord tells us we will find Him when we seek Him with our whole heart.  If your heart is still keeping one eye on the world, it’s not pursuing Him wholly.

I don’t know about you, but it has been a “long day” this life on Earth.  I’ve studied my Bible from cover to cover, and familiarized myself with mankind’s history.  It really is true that there is nothing new under the sun. Yet every progressive generation thinks they have come “further” in truth and knowledge, and accomplishment.  But they don’t account for all the knowledge and truth and even accomplishments that have fallen into the ash heap of history never to be retrieved.  Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, in the end said “all is vanity”.

But that is because he had gotten so full of wisdom that he became proud.  Solomon is our proof that even if God gives us wisdom, we are still the same rotten sinful flesh we always were.  Overcoming the flesh does not come by self-will.  It comes in the form of surrender to God as God.  Surrendering to God as God means that we don’t get to choose what happens.  We don’t get to be in charge. We accept what He allows to touch our lives, with faith in His goodness and judgment.

Faith to faith will give way some day to “Face to Face”.  We just keep climbing. Keep walking. Keep surrendering.  Keep washing in that water of the Word.

My faith is in His promises, His wisdom, His plan, and His timing.  My faith is in His grace, His sacrificial Lamb, and His coming Kingdom.  This order and this world are passing away right before our eyes. Self-destructing. It is happening just as He told us it would.

The current mass migration of humanity from Middle-Eastern nations into Europe and America, could well be the “many shall run to and fro” that Daniel 12 speaks of.   And the “knowledge shall increase” may refer to this sudden surge in Jews who are actively seeking their Messiah, and looking into the New Testament for understanding.  (Blindness to the Jews in part, is only until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in).  That full number of Gentiles which make up the church, could very well be reached today.  The just shall live by faith.

I’m not seeking the Nephilum, and I’m not seeking the mysteries of the Universe, I am seeking a Kingdom, the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness.  I’m not seeking the next best seller and the latest speculation, I am seeking the sure word of Prophecy in the Holy Bible.  He was faithful yesterday, He is faithful today, and He will still be faithful tomorrow, so for myself, yes I’m putting all my faith “eggs” in one basket, all right, because it is the one sure thing there is!  You would think the devil was winning, for all he is given equal billing by Christians these days.  What kind of arrogance does it take to think God needs us to rebuke the devil for HIs sake?  The Lion of Judah will roar and every foe will fall on their face before Him.

  1. Again I say: Wow! Just Wow! I feel that this post is about you needing to unload. I feel your sentiments. Your words are my thoughts. You never cease to amaze me. I feel so much like you do. I am so tired of people giving the enemy so much of their time. He so enjoys that. He thrives on it. I refuse to give him any of my time. Where is our Lord in people’s lives today? I refuse to focus on all the garbage that is on the news and on the internet. I am keeping my eyes focused on the Lord. It’s a waste of time to get wrapped up in all of the worldly things. God is my refuge and my strength and my hope. I have blessed assurance in Him alone. I have no fear for what is to come. Jesus told me along time ago that He wanted me to live the life that He lived. I have felt His pain, His rejection, His false accusations. I choose to live my life for Him, and Him alone. God stripped me of my pride awhile back. I thank Him for it every day. I no longer care what man thinks of me, for they do not matter. I only owe my allegiance to God. He created me, and my life is for His purpose. God gave me the heart of a child, so I am not an intelligent woman as far as worldly knowledge. I trust in the Lord for my knowledge. God said it, I believe it, that settles it for me. I have learned so much from your posts (written from your heart). And I have been so blessed from them. You are a very strong woman, filled with God’s love, and dedicated to serving Him. May God richly bless you as you endeavor to do His will. And I say ‘thank you’ for all that you do. God Bless †
