Baby it’s cold outside!

Well, actually, here in central VA, it supposedly got up to the sixties today, but I am not convinced.  I mostly was catching up on housework anyway. And then decided to try and do some upkeep on the blog, only to realize that in the newer free “theme” I went to before the Holidays, something totally wonky was happening to my menu.  So I decided just to revert to my premium theme that I had previously, and spent a couple of hours just playing around with the background and header images.

Sometimes it is fun just to do mindless stuff.  To take a mental vacation without leaving the house.  Especially in the yucky days when snow is on the ground and still on the roads.  But that will be good for the flowers come spring.  If we make it to spring before the Lord’s trumpet toots.

Really, not much on a personal line, to share.  Army son is in beautiful Hawaii, but is on a week long field exercise in the mountains this week.  I e-mailed J.D. Farag and gave him the heads up to watch for him to show up at his church.  My other son is enjoying the snow days off from school.  Will soon see his own enlistment process kick into high gear as he finishes his Senior year.

I hope you guys got the chance to listen to the broadcasts by Jan Markel that I posted.  Of all the prophecy folks that I trust, Jan has seemed to be more careful than most, of not inadvertently giving people the impression that the Tribulation is nearer than it might be.  I can remember a year ago, her saying there was still a lot that hadn’t lined up yet.  Now she frequently reminds listeners, “things are not falling apart, they’re just falling in place”.  And that is the kind of hope we have as believers who take the Bible literally.   She had John Haller on the show this week. Now it is one confirmation after another, so even while so much that is happening is bad, we rejoice to see God fulfill His Word.  I am happy for Pastor Abedini and his family.  Though his ordeal at the hands of his captors was harrowing, he gave God glory for special time when prayer was all he could do.

A lot happening, and if last year was momentous in the sheer volume of prophetically significant developments, we can hardly imagine what 2016 will hold. The campaign calls are already driving me nuts, how about you?
