There is no question in the mind of this writer and many evangelical Bible-believing Christians that Israel is a special nation. God clearly made an everlasting covenant to be the God of Abraham and his descendants in their generations; to give them all (not part) of the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession, and to be their God (Gen. 17:7-8). As the great Dr. J. Vernon McGee said, “God did not give them a ninety-nine-year lease on the land. God gave them an everlasting possession” (Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee, Volume I, page 74).
