Well, they say these documents are created and given to the parents, then “erased from their system” but we all know nothing is ever really erased. If no computer were involved, and parents were given all of the identifying materials to keep and only hand over in the event a child goes missing, this might be a good idea, but people are handing out the very blueprint of their being, right and left these days, (23 and Me, etc). Heck, even a blood draw at your annual physical could be used, there’s no escaping it and we are always “trusting” someone with our identifying info, but have some discernment!– STL
