About three years ago, I started seeing more and more articles about gender dysphoria and gender confusion, particularly focusing on how it was suddenly becoming overly prevalent in adolescent and teen girls.

Intrigued by human nature, and having an innate drive to understand “what makes people tick” as individuals, and as someone who strives to be informed, this development caught my interest, and I started digging. This book (pictured below) was frequently mentioned in online articles, so I ordered it and found it very eye-opening. What I have learned has been alarming enough, that I feel it warrents passing on some information here on the blog.

 

Adolescence is a particularly hard phase of life, and on up through the 20’s. Things happened during that period for me, that effect me to this day in significant ways. I think that is one of the reasons this topic was so compelling for me. Every generation faces new pitfalls as society morphs over the decades. Thing is, the stakes keep going up, generation after generation.

We all probably have personal stories we could tell. It is a period where often pretty consequential decisions or choices are made, even unconsciously, yet it is possibly the phase of life during which we are the least equipped to make important personal decisions which can have lifelong implications.

Not only are decisions made, but it is a phase if life that is fraught with self-doubt, confusion and vulnerability. One day you are a child, next thing you know, you are thrust into this terrifying trajectory called “becoming an adult”. Society marks 18 and 21 as official adulthood, yet our brains are not even fully developed until later in our 20’s.

Parents remember their own trials during that period. We know it’s a tough passage in life. The problem is, parents really never know the world their own kids face during their harrowing passage through it because so much changes from one generation to the next. It’s a different world. And now it is a world that changes so fast, that even siblings close in age might not even be able to relate.

A couple of days ago, I came across a video of formerly trans Chloe Cole/Chloe Brockman telling her story of coming out trans at age 12, and having “top surgery” at 15. She has now de-transitioned back to female and is suing those who performed her double mastectomy. This regret is also becoming increasingly common, though many are reluctant to talk about it.

A much more well known “trans kid” is Jazz Jennings, whose entire life has been documented from the time she “came out as trans” at age 2. I think she is 18 or older now. Even her “bottom surgery” was documented, which by the way, was botched, as are many. Media of every type, took Jazz’s story and sensationalized it, making her a proverbial “poster child” for the cause. These individuals are hailed as brave, and it is very hard to admit when they have this done, and then regret the irreversible procedure. Not to mentiin the disillusionment when the intervention fails to alleviate their inner torment, self-doubt (or self-hatred in some cases), confusion, and gender dysphoria. There were also other “darlings” of the trans-kid scene, splashed all over the morning talk shows and evening documentaries just 8-10 years ago.

Regardless of where any reader lands in their opinion or stance about the issue of transgender, gender dysphoria, and the broader LGBTQ phenomenon, even adult transgender people are appalled at what is being done to children by these gender clinics and surgeons. It is exploitation. Period. A lot of people are getting very rich off of it, and it’s not those kids!

Once something like this captures my attention, I will generally research it until I get to where I feel sufficiently informed. That’s just part of my nature, and scripture instructs us to “walk circumspect” in life, that is, in awareness of what is taking place around us. I am still learning. Too many people are willingly oblivious, or distracted, and sleepwalking through this world, and there are simply too many traps out there.

Transgenderism is not new. But depending on what resource you read, there has been as much as a 4000% increase in gender dysophoria in young females in the western world during the last decade. Social media plays a huge part and there is plenty of indication that for many, it is a matter of social contageon and mass psychosis.

Whatever the case, these are real people, with eternal souls, feeling real pain, people whom God loves, and Jesus died for. The same is true for gays and lesbians. As an additional side note, one of my sons informed me not that long ago, that almost all of the girls/women in his age group (born in 1998) are bisexual.

I share articles and videos that touch on these things from time to time, but this is the first and only time I have ever written a post about it. I have not been able to write original posts much at all for these last few years, just due to life circumstances.

My heart breaks for the very real pain that these gender and sexuality issues cause for so many people.

This, in my opinion, is why it is so wrong for the church to become an isolated enclave  that closes itself away and keeps all that “messy stuff” outside and at a distance.  How can we reach a world we never interact with?

The devil has the church believing that “those kinds of people” don’t want to hear about God, and he has those contending with same sex attraction or gender confusion convinced that God and the church hates them.

The “woke” atmosphere, cancel culture, and censorship keep the hard truths from getting out there to victims as well as parents.  (Which is why I am writing this post).

The devil has so captured churchianity, that there are (self-proclaimed) “churches” out there reinforcing the false narrative, by claiming that God has made mistakes and put some people in the wrong body, and also claiming that God approves homosexuality. Neither of those is true.

When the disciples asked Jesus what would be the signs of His second coming, the first thing Jesus said was “see that no man deceive you”. I don’t think deception has ever been more prevalent in the history of the world than it is right now.

We ALL have been deceived by Satan in some way. We are all individuals, so there necessarily have to be a wide variety of tactics and lies. None of us were consulted on which lies we would fall prey to. There but by the grace of God, and era you and I were born in….

I have heard it said that if we could take all of the troubles of the people around us, as well as our own, and put them in one big pile, and were then told we could trade in our troubles for that of another person, just about everyone would end up wishing for their own original troubles back after tasting of someone else’s. I have to concur with the truth in that!

There’s an attorney in Canada whose videos I have sometimes watched. The youtube channel is called Viva Frie, and the owner is David Freiheit. I saw an interview he did with a detransitioned man, now in his early thirties, who also pursued litigation for what was surgically done to his body, and also relating to psychological considerations, as he had significant pre-existing mental health issues long before, and still at the time that he began consultation with a gender clinic.

I know there will probably be people who, upon reading this, will instantly dismiss any thought of looking further into this. Probably many who dismiss it will do so with the view that this person chose to pursue this, consented to it, thus brought it upon themselves.

From ALL that I have researched, I submit that this is far from being that simple. There’s consent, and there us informed consent, (a technicality much discussed of late in relation to the Covid vaccines). There are going to be those also, who will be disinclined to watch it because they think it “has nothing to do with them” or they want nothing to do with the topic. But to them I say this: please know that this has significant implications for all of humanity and society, therefore it does concern you. Right now, you probably have an aquaintance or family member who is directly dealing with it and you don’t even know it.

I recommend you watch David Freiheit’s interview with TullipR/Ritchie. Only the coldest of hearts could fail to see the travesty perpetuated upon this young man, whom I found charming, intelligent, and who seeks no pity. None of the detransitioners I have listened to are speaking out for selfish reasons, but instead, have counted the cost in further pain and vulnerability, hate and harassment that they will be (and are being) subjected to. However, being compassionate people themselves, they have chosen to tell their stories in hopes it will save others the pain and horror they have endured. If you read the comments under these videos where people share their transgender surgeries, you will discover many who express gratitude for someone in their life who loved them enough to challenge their belief that they were in the wrong body, and or that surgery would resolve that self-perception, and thus sparing them a similar nightmare.

By the way, Sweden has been allowing these surgeries longer and so are further along in this field of transitioning, and having learned some things, have wisely ammended the laws concerning these surgeries. Just like with the covid stuff, we probably have yet to discover the extent of harm. There seems to be no ethical boundry the pharmaceutical and medical industry aren’t afraid to cross without the slightest regard for the implication and cost in human suffering. And when I say the medical and pharmaceutical industries, I mean the people in corporate posutions, not most of the boots on the ground providers. Though where they find the butchers performing some of these surgeries, I can’t imagine.

Johns Hopkins had stopped doing these syrgeries some years back, after realizing they often did not make things better. It’s crazy that they are happening again. They of course render the patient sterile, just to mention one effect. What’s worse, the establishment now recommends giving ouberty blockers to young kids that supposedly are trans, to prevent maturation into the adult forms of male or female organs and “parts” (trying not to get graphic). The medications that halt that development are the same used for chemical castration.

We live in a world growing more senseless every day. Jesus died to deliver us from this. Rather than be angry at God, I pray hurting people come to understand that mankind’s own free will and fallen state is to blame, and that God has provided a way to rescue each of us from the painful plight that is life on this Earth. He has to let us learn things for ourselves. Any parent knows that is how it works. This world is headed nowhere good, at warp speed. God will judge fairly and justly and deal with the victimizers. But each of us will also face Him one on one. He would love to give you a clean slate in that regard and has provided a way to do so.
