Feelin’ a little sheepish

Would you believe I missed my blog’s birthday?

For some reason I thought it was the 8th.  I went back and checked, and my first post was March 1, 2012.  My first “Like” was from Shofar! (Thanks Liz!) A hundred and forty-eight nations, 64,515 hits later, and here we are! A great big thanks to all of you who read, follow, comment, re-blog and keep putting up with me, 🙂  It’s been quite a ride thus far, hasn’t it?

P. S.

Can anyone tell me why WordPress would recommend Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez as tags for this post?  Do they have some association with sheep that I’m not aware of?

  2. What’s a day or seven among friends? We are children of the KING! I’m so glad I found your blog one day (bwo Rapture Ready) and, in turn, found a sister and a friend! I almost missed my own birthday on the 3rd, but considered the miss due to age. So, an earthly congratulations to you, dear lady…..but just think of the celebrating coming soon!

  4. WAY TO GO, GIRL!
We started our blogs 2 months after you. I was the administrator first, now Drgold is and not me (?) We both had our own gravatars then lost his and we both used mine. Couple of weeks ago lost mine, now use his. So that’s how it is with our progress learning how to use Word Press with 1 administrator, 2 blogs, 2 many different emails and passwords! Anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS!
GOD BLESS YOU WITH MORE BIRTHDAYS!

    • Yeah, WordPress just does wonky stuff like that every now and then. I just shrug and keep on going. There have been times that my connection to Facebook gets messed up, and it reminds me to “refresh” the connection. Well, I did that for several days, maybe over a week of time, every time I hit publish, it told me to refresh the connection. So I did. And then I noticed it was telling me I had published to 1049 Facebook friends (or some such crazy number). I even reported that in my post with one of my celebrations. Then I got to thinking, how in the world could it be that many. I thought maybe with re-postings on Facebook or whatever, others were maybe following. Finally I went on the dashboard and into the sharing tab, checked on my Facebook connection and it had been duplicating the connections as if I had 60 Facebook pages. I thought, “OH MY GOSH, I SURE HOPE IT’S NOT PUBLISHING EVERY POST x 65 on my Facebook page!!!” LOL. I disconnected my blog from my Facebook page for a while after that. I fret about overloading people’s inboxes with multiple posts as it is, I couldn’t imagine what my friends were thinking on Facebook if they had 600 notifications from my blog via their Facebook feed. No one complained, but maybe they just blocked me and I don’t know it, Ha!

      • That¹s a good word, Œwonky¹ stuff. When I didn¹t have Appearance and widgets some kind guy on Word Press Support helped me out. Early on we lost Countries for a while and one day they showed up again. I do notice on Google and WP forum that lots of people have every kind of question and problem with basic stuff, so I guess I¹m not really the only ignoramus after all! Thanks for sharing! Take care, keep warm and stay safe! ~Liz

    • Thank you Dr. Gold. You guys have been with me the whole way! I am really looking forward to what the coming weeks and months will bring about. Days like today when circumstances kept me from the blog, I miss it a lot! Garrett’s chemo was almost cancelled this a.m. but since we had already driven all the way over there in practically a blizzard, they went ahead and gave it. He is doing well in between treatments and PTL his Hemoglobin is staying above 11! That is really good for someone taking chemo!
