Mind if I jabber?

Ok, I was a Facebook holdout for a long time.  I mean, I was on there once, and didn’t much care for it or use it.  I feel that it will someday be all a part and parcel of how the government will eventually (well, is already) monitor everything in our lives.  But I figure, even if I never posted anything, all it takes is for a friend to post an old photo and they already have my facial map.  Now I’m pretty much on every DHS watch list that exists, so it really doesn’t matter.   (FEMA CAMP, here I come!)

So, I finally got around to looking up old friends, and actually putting up some photos.  I have come to the conclusion that people actually forget you exist if they don’t see you on Facebook.  It’s been fun hearing from folks.

This blog experienced a major surge a couple of days ago and I’m still not sure what was behind it.  I didn’t even submit a new article to Rapture Ready that day.  It was a day when I posted more, and maybe it was the first day most of my readers realized I was back from my Sabbatical, lol.  Anyway, I like the new feature in WordPress Stats that shows not just how many hits, but how many individuals account for those hits.  Is it a couple of hundred people taking one look at my blog and moving on, or is it that I have one devoted reader who reads everything I post?  These are important things that bloggers like to know.

I get some of the coolest readers e-mails and responses to things.  I like to remind folks from time to time, that there is a “Contact” tab listed under “Pages” in the right sidebar, and any communication through the Contact form is not visible to the public, I am the only one who will see that because it will come to my e-mail.  Love to hear from ya!  There is also a physical address if you prefer the good old fashioned snail mail.  That can be found on my “About” page which is accessible just below the header (picture of my eyes) at the top.

*Note to M.M./Mamasfaithwalk:  I am sorry, I told you that physical address was with the contact form, but it’s not, it’s up there in the About page.  Sorry!  Sometimes I can’t keep up with my own self!  (I can’t believe I inspired someone!  🙂  Thanks for letting me know!

Garrett/ aka: “Hubby” did okay with this round of chemo, although the side effects hit him sooner each round, and there seem to be new ones as we go.  Still, his spirits are good and he is still working, and we did finally get some insurance hurdles cleared this week, so, YAY and PTL!

  1. Yeah, mine goes to my personal Facebook page as well, but sometimes I post so much that it fills up my personal page so once in a while I cut the publication to my personal Facebook page, and post my multi-link headline posts manually. That way friends and fam get lots of news but not overwhelmed by multiple posts in my personal feed to their page. It is a great way to share our faith.
