Yes, very sobering. But take heart in that it is following the trajectory that the scriptures tell us it will. God allows the rebellious to go their way, storing up wrath against themselves, and though the consequences effect us all, the Lord knows the plans He has for us, and that the blessings to come will far outweigh the trials. When He sets things right, removes the curse, it will be worth it all and we will never have to deal with sin, injustice, or tragedy ever again.
