Filthy Rags

Last week I told you about the Harmonious Interfaith Relations initiative here in Virginia (Richmond).  Well here is another one for you:  The Tri-Faith Initiative of Omaha, Nebraska.  This is a group of folks from the “Christian”, Jewish, and Islamic faiths in a local community, that are coming together to “transform intolerance, ignorance and fear into understanding, respect and trust” through interaction. The Temple Israel, The Episcopal Diocese, and the American Institute of Islamic Studies and Culture, have come together, each raising funds, to build a shared complex (on the site of a former country club) called the Tri-Faith Neighborhood, which includes spacious manicured grounds, ample parking, a small lake, a creek, individual facilities for each group, and central to it all, a six-sided building called the Tri-Faith Center with “social, educational and conference facilities enabling global study and communication“.

The organization holds regular monthly meetings and community activities, such as picnics, and also events designed to “share” the various holidays of each religion with the followers of the other religions, like the annual (Tri-faith) Easter Egg hunt.  The website offers helpful hints such as the dietary guidelines for Kosher and Halal.  It also makes mention of the fact that “it is not unusual for those of the Muslim faith to refuse to attend any event at which alcohol is served.  (Shouldn’t that be true of Christians?)  Another tidbit, apparently Butterball has gone Halal.  Their turkeys have the Halal seal now.  Anyway, those are just some of the helpful tips offered for avoiding offense to those of the “Abrahamic Faiths”. Other topics covered on the website include Recommended Reading, Social Media links, Speakers Bureau, and of course the FAQs.  It also provides links to several other like-minded organizations:

  • The Union to Reform Judaism, whose missions is, as the name implies, to reform Judaism to “better reflect today’s reality”.
  • The Episcopal Church whose “ministries” include: Global “Companion Relationships” and Office of Global Partnerships, Domestic Poverty, Ecumenical/Inter-religious, Eco-Justice, Global Justice, among others.
  • The Islamic Society of North America ( an independent, open and transparent membership organization that strives to be an exemplary and unifying Islamic organization in North America by contributing to the betterment of the Muslim community and society at large). They also lobby for the Two State Solution for Israel/Palestine.
  • The Center for Faith Studies (whose stated mission is mission is “to provide study of what it means to be the community of people through whom God is experienced.”)
  • Project Interfaith (Purpose: combat the growing tension and conflict between people of various spiritual and cultural identities; conflict that is perpetuated by cultural and religious ignorance, stereotyping, and marginalization)

I would like to draw your attention to the underlying theme of essentially “fundamentally changing” these religions “to better reflect today’s reality, and being a “community through whom God is experienced”.

That is the difference between all the other religions (including ecumenical “Christianity”, which is not Biblical Christianity) and being a follower of Christ and a believer in the Bible as the infallible Word of God.

God does not change, and our “experiences” are not the determiner of Who He is.  The world is not in the mess it is in because we refuse to embrace one another’s irreconcilable religious beliefs.  It is in the mess that it is in because of SIN.  A refusal to yield to the ONE God and to believe that HE is Whom He says He IS.

These interfaith initiatives will continue to water down, compromise, merge, until there is consensus. The focus on “the better good of all mankind” sounds noble, doesn’t it?  But there are a couple of problems with this idealistic approach, which Obama, by the way, pays a great deal of lip-service to.  But radical Islamists will play this game and go along with it, seemingly in all sincerity, in order to win trust of both sincere Muslims who desire peace, and of course Christians and Jews who desire peace.  There are generations of Jews and Muslims who have grown up in the West and have never known first-hand the barbaric violence of Jihad.  Among us, here in America, and in Canada, and even in Britain, and in France, Germany, and on and on, Radical Muslims have patiently and steadily immigrated to these areas of the world, with the intent of eventually overtaking them via “al-hijra”.  It Is a more subtle, “stealth Jihad” in which Muslims take advantage of the loopholes in immigration law, (and in America’s case, these loopholes are large enough to drive a semi through) and little by little, taking advantage of foolish political correctness, they apply pressure in the area of government policy, education, and yes, the existing religious institutions, to gain influence, headway, and leverage, in getting their way of life “legitimized and sanctioned”.  They will cooperate for a time, in order to subjugate eventually.  Subjugate other religions, and all other political systems, because Islam is both.

The Bible tells us that one day there will be One religion.  Islam will never be able to subdue all other belief systems, but I believe they will play a very significant role in eliminating the followers of other religions as merely one minor aspect of paving the way for that one final religion.

Our president stood before the U.N. yesterday and virtually apologized for America’s very existence.  I am at a loss for the many commentators who persist in calling him clueless and idealistic.  I don’t believe that for a minute.  I believe he does self-identify as a Muslim, theoretically, but his own personal “religion” is something else altogether.  Though he is not a genuine follower of all the tenets of Islam (kill all infidels and unbelievers), he is certainly their most “useful idiot”.  The Muslims who wish to conquer and destroy America, disdain president Obama as a coward.

The fact of the matter is, I truly believe Obama was groomed for this job, in this moment in the history of planet Earth. but not by proponents for a NWO, or genetically engineered by scientific means in some secret lab and whether financed by the likes of Soros,  no one can deny the mystery of how someone whose college records, birth records, school records, citizenship records, selective service/draft records, and even medical records, are all sealed, coming to be the president of the U.S., and in administration of that role, has broken law after law, and yet no one and nothing has intervened to rein him in.  Folks, IMHO, only supernatural workings behind the scenes can explain this.  It is a big world.  Granted, the governments of this world are chock-full of secrets and corrupted as the day is long.  But mankind alone is not capable of rendering one man “untouchable”.

There are probably folks who took offense at my remark about Joel Rosenberg in one of yesterday’s posts, but I think it is far past time we take a look at anyone who speaks for Christianity, and what they are doing with the platform they have access to.

Our patriotism and our position as disciples, are not two equal priorities.  If God says we can’t put brother, sister, parent, son, daughter above our love for Him, how is He going to rate the problem of our over-arching devotion to America being held equal and/or above our consecrating our all to Him?

The American Family Association started out with the purpose of preserving family which has been under attack in America not since the fifties and sixties, but all the way back to the 20’s and 30’s.  Communism had made some significant inroads back then, but because most Americans back then still held duty to God as sacred, by Grace, we managed to escape that growing stronghold for a while.  But Barack Obama has set this nation back by decades.

Obama does have a personal religion.  So does Michelle.  (Have you noticed that ever since the “Michelle is a Tranny” brouhaha we are not seeing or hearing much from Michelle?) The hatred that they have for America is what drives them.  Despite the agenda of the Bankers/NWO/Radical Islam, all of which have had their victories via the Obama presidency, Obama’s goals in his presidency are his own.  He was brought into the current position of power in large part with the backing of those other ideologies, and has done much that has benefitted and furthered those agendas, but Obama’s personal driving force is hatred. Plain and simple.  Hatred that was sown into his spirit under the auspices of Black Liberation Theology, and finding fertile ground, has grown to full fruit-bearing stage now.  Black Liberation Theology is not a Christian theology at all.  It’s god is a god born in the imaginations of hate-filled minds, a god who hates whites, and calls for the destruction of the white community.  One individual upon whose works Black Liberation theology is based on, is that of one James Hal Cone, who said :

“Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him”.

To the followers of this belief system, Jesus was a poor man of color living under an oppressive European system (Rome) whose aim was the tearing down of the oppressive government and therefore supports them in their own “black power” uprising against the oppressing white man in America.  This ideology is very attractive to young black males especially, who have been duped into buying into the entitlement narrative which actually serves to keep them subverted and to promote class mentality and class “warfare”.  It is Marxism.  Just like Farrakahn and his “Nation of Islam”.  Making everything a matter of “social justice”.  No wonder the Liberal Democratic  political system in America is so open-armed to Islam, to Social Justice, and to the idea of reparations, precisely because it secures the votes of the likes of these “marginalized”.  Never mind that eventually none of those Marxist Socialists-disguised as bleeding-heart liberals, will have no America over which to serve as Congressmen and Representatives, and the “conservatives” (in name only) also seem not to realize that when they finish redistributing the wealth up the pipeline to the Big Bankers, the America that became the wealthiest nation in the world, will be no more!

Obama is in a position where he believes he is playing all the sides.  But he is in way over his head.  Still, his potential to wreak havoc and do irreversible damage, is indeed practically incalculable.

This world is doing exactly as the Scriptures have said it would.  To understand with clear-eyed certainty what the meaning is behind all of the developments, not just in U.S. government, but at the U.N., with the nations of the Middle East and Russia, and China, with the economy, all of it is there in the pages of your Bible.

I have come to see that there are few people indeed, who really ever want to see the truth as it is.  We can be very selective as to what we allow ourselves to accept, thereby constructing for ourselves a “reality” that of course is not actually real, but which is comfortable.

The god of this world has blinded the eyes and the hearts and the minds of the masses.  The “witness” of so-called “believers” and “disciples” of Christ, that a non-believer is unable to ascertain by such conflicting accounts, who Christ is, and therefore the stage is set for acceptance of one who will claim to be him.  Large numbers of “Christians” have been misled to believe that we, the church, are the “new Israel”, and therefore are wrong-headedly adopting Jewish customs and practices and terminology.  This replacement theology has so confused them, that they are utterly incapable of differentiating the passages of scripture that apply to the Bride of Christ.  They not only disbelieve the concept of a pre-tribulation catching -away, but have turned it into a point of conflict and ridicule of their so-called fellow-Christians.

Anyone who for one moment thinks man can fix what is wrong in the church, much less the world, is most deceived of all.

It seems that with every passing week, there is another Christian teacher or pastor that is revealed as being among the deceived.  It only makes sense, as the Lord promises to divide.  Yesterday I read a commentary piece about a possible one-to-three year period before the beginning of the seventieth week of Daniel, but after the catching away.  This period was being referred to as being outside the seventieth week, but also “tribulational” based on the “ten days” of tribulation mentioned in Revelation 2:10.  This might make sense of the unprecedented developments we are seeing already, which we commonly refer to as birth pangs. But the arguing and discord and even vicious name-calling that is going on between supposed Christians is utterly destroying any witness we could have before the unsaved in this world.  That and the “merchandising” that is so rampant now in the “prophecy industry”.  How is that any different from the money-changers? How is that not a “making merchandise of  you” as in  2 Peter 2:2-3? False prophets, false teachers, damnable heresies. And many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they, through feigned words, make merchandise of you, whose judgment now of long time, lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereith not.

We have become dupes, fools, in believing it is okay to be like the world, and thinking that won’t offend a Holy God who has set us apart as A Holy People.  What passes for Christianity today is a farce.

The Lord and His Word do not change.  We may not understand it all yet, but the Bible is right, and will prove itself as such.

Time is running out for the unsaved, but it is also running out for those who think they can bear the name of Christ while still keeping up an intimate relationship with this world.  Titillating “fictional novels” that incorporate the prophecies of scripture, and contemplate the horrors of nephilum seem to only serve to titillate an insatiable appetite for gore and mayhem and intrigue.  It is the gospel, and only the gospel that is going to turn people from the hell that is coming.  Ministries that “major” in these things may not be construed as evil, but they fall far short of the great commission.  Imagine the millions of dollars that are generated in the sale of these books, movies, DVD’s.  Sure, Rosenberg has the Joshua Fund.  We as a church are supposed to provide and care for the sick, needy and downtrodden, but not in a way that perpetuates their neediness.  Not as enablers.  This will not heal the sick, or set captives free.

In the story of Mary and Martha, Jesus chastised Mary for her worries and complaints in the face of Martha’s choice to sit and bask in the presence and life-giving Words of the Messiah while He was there among them.  He said Mary hath chosen that better part.  Martha recognized that she needed what Jesus was imparting, much more than Jesus needed anything she might try to offer.

With a church this confused, what chance does the world have of knowing Jesus?

What if, rather than “prepping” for perilous times, Christians were giving that money to missions?  That is what is meant by laying up treasures in heaven.  God forgive us, we have no excuse, for not understanding what the Bible tells us, other than our own self-sufficient pride.  Which will not be excused.

  1. No need to apologize! I appreciate this post in its many aspects. Please forgive me, because we’re told to pursue those things which make for peace, that is, among our brothers and sisters in the Lord. So I should have let it go. Yes, we all will be surprised because of the way things actually look.
Because it’s getting so close, we are being made to test everything. This is a good thing, for the Lord is getting us ready. Kind of painful though, isn’t it? Especially when we’re feeling other kinds of pain.
I didn’t play the video – sometimes I can’t watch this kind of thing.
    Lord bless you!

  2. No one has “liked” this. Perhaps they (we) are scared of seeing things as they are. It’s human nature to want to stay comfortable and safe (and oblivious) – that is, to love this world while “liking” the Lord.
Living in the End Times will make cowards of us, unless we rely on Jesus completely.
Follow the money and you will find evil. (We can pray for Rosenberg!)
Preach the Word in and out of season, as you do!
But, STLloyd, remember that if Christians don’t believe in the pre-trib rapture, you can’t dismiss us as heretics. (I’ve heard it mocked and hate this.) Let’s be Bereans. This is my desire and yours. Don’t be disturbed that I or another believer doesn’t believe it, because we still believe,
    2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
    9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
And we labor to obey the Lord Jesus by fulfilling the Great Commission – we love others and want them to know Him. He, David’s Lord and son, is King! He will reign on the earth and make a new heaven and new earth in which righteousness will dwell, and then we can rest – completely free of sorrow,

    • I was not at all dismissing those who don’t believe in a pre-trib rapture as heretics. All that I said is that some “not only disbelieve the pre-trib rapture (which is their prerogative) but have turned it into a point of conflict and ridicule (which is reprehensible). I was decrying the many attacks and vitriol that have been directed at me (and others) because I do believe in it. And decrying the confusion perpetuated by those who want to argue about it via the comment section on my blog. I feel precisely as you do, that it is entirely possible to see things differently and have said before that the actual truth of how it does play out will probably prove that we weren’t any of us all right nor all wrong in what we (who study) were seeing in scripture, (because that is just how vast and complex God is) but I have had “lurkers” who seem to watch for me to post anything about it, seeing it as invitation to rant. Those comments don’t get approved as I won’t lend my blog space (a domain I pay for) to that kind of thing, or waste my time on the receiving end of disdain disguised as “debate”. It is the type of thing that has caused me many times to very seriously consider shutting this down because I’d rather not be party to bickering. It’s not why I do this, and normally I don’t denigrate other professing believers either. I guess I just have reached a limit lately with the mentality that is so eager to follow after speculators and sensationalists and churchianity’s own version of “stars” which is every bit as bad as the prosperity and feel-good preachers, in that it in no way points to Jesus or the gospel. I don’t have a big platform or a far reach, but I try to be a good steward of whatever influence I may have. I do pray for Rosenberg. I pray for people like Oprah Winfrey, who have huge platforms and the power to influence so many people, but I apologize if it came across harshly.
