The resignation of Yemeni Government today, leaves the Houthi’s in control, and why that is prophetically significant

Some are saying this  development in Yemen essentially amounts to a coup.  The two sides were meeting yesterday, with intervention by UN mediators, to come to some kind of agreement and try to end the fighting between the factions. On January 11, I posted two videos from Prophecy Watchers in which Avi Lipkin explains the prophetic significance of this particular conflict, in a post entitled Sunni vs Shia ultimate showdown brewing in Saudi Arabia (the ultimate goal) and this development is one step in that plan. (videos are each about ten minutes in length)  Lipkin states in the video (paraphrasing here) that Yemen is a key player in the Arabian Peninsula and Sana is only about 400 miles from Mecca.  Saudi Sunni Islam has always been at odds with Iranian Shi’ite Islam, and like in the game of capture the flag, the faction that controls Mecca and Medina, will theoretically triumph.  The Houthi are allies with Iran and their goal is to bring down the Saudi regime.  In terms of Bible prophecy, the house of Islam is divided and we know what the Bible says about a house divided.  There are some (myself included) who believe that the various factions of radical Islam will serve to ultimately destroy or significantly defuse the power of radical Islamic extremism, while others believe Islam will be the source of the Antichrist.  These developments undoubtedly are setting the stage at present, for the shuffling of power and alliances which the Bible foretold in regard to the end of the age of Grace.

Watch for reports of movements of Iranian ships in the Straits of Hormuz and Suez Canal, for the Saudi Royal family to scramble and probably call upon Egypt to come in from the East to help, while Isis moves in from Iraq in the North, for this ultimate Sunni/Shia showdown.  Isis wants to see the Black Stone obliterated, and the Saudi oil wells to also take some hits, which will probably throw a kink into that whole falling oil prices thing, and possibly be the very straw that breaks the back of the petrodollar, which is the event that brings down the strength of the U.S.

That very chaos will ensure both the complete destabilization of the Middle East, and also provide the cover for the long-awaited attack on Israel, but we know the enemies of Israel will not prevail, and what’s more, this would probably precipitate the “Sampson Option” on Israel’s part, and bring about the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 destruction of Damascus. When the dust settles, Israel will have survived, reclaimed forfeited territory, and enjoy a level of “peace and safety” that sets the tone for a peace agreement finally to be reached. -S.T. 1. As I read Scripture I see not one, but three attacks on Israel. These are all separated by several years; First, is the Psalm 83 war, where the Arab nations bordering Israel attack, and are soundly defeated. This attack will likely be led by ISIS. This war will end with an agreement that will ultimatelly become the model for the Antichrist’s “covenant”.

Second, is the Gog and Magog war, where Iran, Turkey, Libya and Russia, along with the former Soviet Union, and perhaps Malaysia, attack Israel. By this time Israel will not have any nuclear weapons, and God will personally intervene on their behalf. This appears to be the last war of the Church Age, after this the Antichrist is revealed, the rapture occurs, and the Tribulation begins. Those who identify this war as Armageddon will be ready to crown the Antichrist when he arises, thinking he is here in the place of Jesus Christ!

Third is the campaign of Armageddon, in which the whole worlld is engulfed in war, and sends their armies to Israel. It will end with Jesus return, and setting up the millennial kingdom.

So are the events in Yemen prophetically significant? I think the winner of this conflict will determine if Yemen participates in the Psalm 83 war, or the Gog/Magog war.

    • Thanks for that input, Dan! So you don’t see Radical Islam being subdued just yet, (early in the wars) or do you expect one faction will overtake the other and continue to be a major player right on through the tribulation?
