τάχος : see Blue Letter Bible lexicon for the 8 occurances of this word in the Textus Receptus (Latin for “received text”).
This is a six a.m. post, so no telling where it goes, but I keep hearing J.D. Farag’s explanation of this Greek word for “quickly, or shortly” as I peruse the headlines and glance over my prophecy video feeds. Thachos is where we get the word tachometer. The tachometer in your vehicle measures rotations per minute of the engine or crankshaft.
It keeps revving up!
Israel is blatantly and very publicly warning of intent to act pre-emptively against letting Iran get any further in it’s moves against them while Naftali Bennett, defense minister of Israel, literally traveled to Magog and met with Gog last week, seeking their protection!!!
Step into my parlor, said the spider to the fly!
I’ve always got at least half an eye or ear on the developments while I have shifted to a ratio of about 10 to 1 of taking in the Word in preaching and good teaching, working on nemory verses and praying, as compared to taking in news and even prophecy updates. Because even though it makes perfect sense that things will seem increasingly threatening up to the very second God snatches us out, the extremties to which we could be exposed prior to rapture could legitimately extend to anything any disciple of Christ has endured in the past. If you haven’t ever read any details about the martyrs in history, you really should. It will motivate you to be very diligent in seeking to walk in the Spirit and to make sure you have allowed God to deal with anything that puts distance between you and Him. I don’t want to deny Christ in the face of persecution and only the Holy Spirit can enable you to endure. We think we would never do that. That’s what Peter thought. If I faced torture with that same misplaced confidence in the “strength of my own convictions” it would be a set-up for merely proving my own faithlessness just as Peter did. We have a ridiculous capacity to delude ourselves. If you or I think we could face being stretched on a rack and pulled apart, limb from trunk in 4 directions as bones are ripped from sockets, on the strength of our love for the lord, the devil has some oceanfront property in a desert somewhere he’d love to sell us!
If Christians can’t stand to even think about their pleasant comfortable life being marred by the mention of prophecy, I really hate to see how they will cope when persecution and deprivation come, and it’s coming. I mean, coming in the west, and America, you need to realize that although the church never replaced Israel, America has been given more by God than any other nation besides the nation of Israel in all of world history, in revelation of Himself to us. We have as much to answer for as Israel, and have ridden the coattails of residual blessing gained for us by our forebears, but we’ve gutted that supply, and if God’s timing does not bring the rapture very soon, our children and grandkids are going to have much reason to resent us.
If that doesn’t smite your soul, you may be a lost cause. I’m talking to Christians.
I spoke in a recent post of the anger I have felt at times, at preachers I sat under in church, where I came wanting to grow and to serve, and there would be a lack of knowledge or depth or lack of application or emphasis in the pastor’s own study of scripture. It’s like being a kid who has parents they can’t count on. I swear the thought crosses my mind to just show up at start of service and fall on my face at the alter and refuse to budge, let him preach, let the whole stupid weekly ritual of repitition run, and do it week after week until the Holy Spirit breaks through the fossilized rut of tradition and a sliver of reality manages to penetrate and then maybe, just MAYBE life can get a foot in the door of that sepulchre that the church turned into.
I’m not trying to out-Holy anybody, I’m tired of playing. Church in this country is a joke, and it’s not just the fact Marxism is prosthletyzed in all the colleges that has turned young people away from their church upbringing. Even when i was in my 20’s I saw through the farce and so do the young adults of today. More preachers are getting called out of prison ministries today than come out of churches. You know why? Because even the most fundamental churches that purport to have kept to the old paths, have become the new Pharasees. They have so committed to their tradition they no longer remember the “spirit of the law”.
