A crucial moment in time

In this sound-bite driven modern culture, rhetoric is 9/10ths of perception.  That ought not to be so, but there it is!  If you can hijack the narrative, you can become the arbitor of “reality”.  Lets call a spade a spade.  The Boston Bombing has single-handedly propelled this nation into a paradigm in which freedom-loving Patriots are now toe-to-toe with tyrannical government elites who have abandoned all pretense of preserving liberty.  It is a “state of war” they want, and though the Patriots didn’t bring it, the Patriots will not back from it.   Not only that, but it is the advent of the smaller, more personal type of terror attacks that many warned were coming.  The kind that are hardest to predict or prevent.

Another major shift that just took place this very day: The U.S. has now given Israel liberty to do what it feels it must, in regards to Syria, and Iran.

JPost reported just yesterday that Israel has offered a deal to Ankara; Advanced Defense Systems in return for use of  Turkish Air Base by IDF to train for attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.  This followed an official apology to Erdogan from Benjamin Netanyahu for the Mavi Marmara incident.   Of course the Tehran News reports that Ankara denies this, but then they would, to save face.

(SR 65) introduced by Lindsay Graham in March, that has now been approved by the Senate, implies that the government of Israel will have de facto authority over U.S. policy.  It could set the stage for the United States being dragged into a future Israeli attack on Iran,

Yeah.  All while the news focused exclusively on the Boston Bombings.

Iran has essentially crossed the “red line” set by Israel for its nuclear activity, and the coming few months will be a crucial period, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amos Yadlin, a former head of IDF Military Intelligence, said on Tuesday. –The Times of Israel

The terrorism in Boston isn’t the end of things here, either!  That foiled Canadian Train derailment plot, was a train headed to the U.S.A! (They were Muslim, by the way)

Several stories indicate that it is now official that a red line has also been crossed by Bashir Assad, that being the use of chemical weapons.  (Also reported by Reuters, JPost, NBC, NYT, USA Today, HAARETZ Washington Times, BBC.)  Kerry is not confirming at this time.

So, there you have it.  It’s not your imagination.  Things did just get a bit more serious.
