So, I listened with half an ear while I painted this picture of my friend’s grandbaby and her chicken.
Here is my synopsis of the debate. Trump is on the Clinton payroll, Huckabee did fantastic, Christie and Paul both came off looking like a couple of jackasses, no less impetuous and temperamental than the current occupant of the oval office, Bush’s establishmentarianism was his most defining characteristic, Walker didn’t do himself any favors, Rubio and Kasich were sickeningly cliché-politics-as-usual, Carson flat-lined but managed to revive memorably just before the clock ran out, and Cruz looks semi-presidential, though he doesn’t inspire my trust.
Enough about that!
Here is the painting I did. Below it is the painting beside the photo from which I did the painting. My friend Lila took the photo of her grandbaby. She may have just discovered she has an eye for photography! Nothing like finding your hidden talents in middle age, right? She was my first “best friend” from first grade. The only “best friend” that preceded her in my life is my “best cousin” Sheila who is 2 years and one day younger than me. I am blessed with a lot of best friends. A lot of history there.
Today I will be painting again. It’s my birthday, so you will excuse me if I don’t post much. Will be headed to Pennsylvania tomorrow, and looking forward to photography and exploring. I think I shall celebrate this birthday all week long. Yeah!
My current Bible study topic is God’s promises in the New Testament. A good thing to dwell on. It is a study of the actual Bible, not some other book written about the Bible. There are too many things being called “Bible Studies” that are anything but. Especially for women.

About the “debate,” I chose not to watch. Thank you for watching it for me. 🙂 I figure we’re going to hear nothing else on the news until the next “debate” unless (and we pray not) something earthshaking happens that appears newsworthy.
Loved your cute painting.
